:)

I have some good news to share...I got my CS exam result today (this was the exam I took in Atlanta) and Alhamdulillah I have passed.I am delighted of course as this marks the end of the series of exams that I was required to take to be certified. This also means that I now get to add those two letters at the end of my name i.e M.D....which my mother says is the best part!
Its been quite a journey all this and I must single out and thank the few people who visited my blog and cheered me on.Rai,niqabi, sozzy and beau...thankyou all ever so much!Last but not least....DrPak deserves an extra special mention. He has just been terrific with all his support through out this entire time for he actually endured all my whining in real time over MSN and google talk.Thankyou DP!
Of course, this doesn't mean that you all are off the hook...I am on the trail to residency now and well...the whiner in me ain't done yet! ;)

Haye lucky lucky lucky u!

Ive decided i suck at vivas. People hate me as soon as i open my mouth. I seem to be coherent and intelligent on paper but dont make me sit for a viva. I'll stammer and everything will fly outta my brain as soon as i see the examiner. How did u survive that, studying in Pakistan and all? I hate vivas... bah! they make look stupid. Im sorry i just came home after giving a rotation test and I cant say all the studying helped too much. haye how will i ever survive final year... maybe i should just rely on looking pretty ;) lol, sigh how do u do it? how did u make it that far? i think i'll need u-haul if i plan on having a serious future... sigh sigh sigh

sohnii: How do i do it? Oh I just look pretty! lolzz
I left a comment on your blog pertaining to your viva woes...and hey...you'll have enough momentum to get you through after you graduate inshaAllah...and u-haul won't be needed. :)

Thanks! the comment was a major pick-me-up.

22, yep. In a month, i'll be having my 4th yr final exams. Just for once, I'd like to be able to score effortlessly in vivas. Sigh. I can score upto 85 to 90 % in theory. Vivas are my unicorn. The best i'll do will be somewhere at 65 %

maybe the trouble actually is that im not good at discussions, since I study alone. Problem is I cant study with someone else because Im very slow, detailed and meticulous about what Im studying, that takes me ages to complete what someone else is doing in mins. So any advice besides the group discussion?

P.s: lol, the reason im commenting on ur blog and not mine is cuz more of a chance u'll check urs then mine for comments. And I really do need the help.

rai: thankyou! :)

sohnii:You do have a point there about not being able to stduy with other people...I believe I was very lucky in that both my best friend and I had the perfect wavelength match study wise.An alternative way(you might think its silly but a few of my friends actually did that) would be to speak out loud whatever you have read up on soemthing...like instead of summarising in your head...just say it out loud...a friend used to do it in front of the mirror...hehe....another friend(DP) told me he pretends he is teaching a class.I think this should help.Good luck with the exams sohnii!!

Whatever you do, don't give the computer antibiotics, no matter how much it whines and begs. You know they won't work against viruses. Be strong Dr. Aya MD!

I actually did quite well in the rotation test i was complaining earlier about. :D scored the highest in my batch but maximum marks were from theory section, i still managed to get mediocre marks in viva/preformance. Sigh, vivas are my white whale ala Moby Dick.

Dr. Aya... :D nice ring to it.

Wo...I'm late here!

Masha'Allah, masha'Allah, loads of congrats on achieving those two letters (M.D) with your name! Is it an abbreviation for medical doctor? Are you going to be Dr. Aya Blogger M.D from now on? Thats a long name:P!

Insha'Allah I hope you treat your patients with kindness because alot of people fear doctors. Like me:D

Please remember me in your duas, congratulations once more :)

spacey: Thankyou! I am just wondering if I know you(don't recall you having posted on my blog before)...two people come to mind..O-C or roume? If you're not one of those two then apologies for the mistaken identity... :)

sohnii: wow!highest in the batch huh?thats wonderful...since its the cumulative of the written and th viva thats taken into account I really don't think you have a cause for concern...you seem to be acing those writtens mashaAllah!

writer's creek: Thankyou ever so muchfor your kind wishes and the prayers. The MD stands for doctor of medicine...I used to wonder why is it not DM then?....turned out its Latin derived...its the abbreviation for the Latin title Medicinae Doctor(translated Docotor of medicine...hows this for trivia?..hehe) No worries about the duas...I am on it..:)
