Sketch

Some years ago I would probably have labelled drawing as a hobby....I'd like to believe I was good at it too.Well...in medical school my drawing was limited to drawing dissected body parts initially and then pathology slides and specimens...all part of course work.I don't know why I gave up on drawing otherwise during that time....but I did.A few days ago I just felt this urge to grab a pencil and a sketch book to try my hand at drawing again. I was quite disappointed because it just didn't seem to come as easy I had imagined it would....rightly so, because I have been out of practice for so long.Anyways, heres something I came up with today...its nothing great but its definitely a start.

Oooohhh FJMC haan! I had a feeling when u said u and ur best friend studied together. Were u in the FJMC hostel? One of my closest friends is also living there. She's in her third year now, probably giving her final exams or already done with them. A pretty girl from quetta. Know her?

sohnii:I am wondering how my best friend and I studying together gave you the feeling that I may be an FJ grad...hehe...surely there are ppl from other med schools who do the same too...;)
I did live in the hostel..but I doubt I'd know your friend...the block I lived in only had final year students and well...I never hung around much at the hostel during the day anyways cos I used to be at my best friend's place (yes, I was spoilt..hehe..but really....the hostel isn't a very nice place....there are dozens of stray cats roaming around as if they own it!...how does your friend like living there?)

Lol, I duno... it was just a tukka. I was thinking if I had to say what uni u were from, it'd probably be FJMC or AKU. If u were from AKU, ud probably be throwing it into everyone's face right now. Lol, no offence meant, Ive just had pretty horrible experience with AKU grads. Im usually good with insane guessing, lol, even my teachers admit that.

My friend loves FJMC. She was actually supposed to end up in the hostel dorm but got lucky when they ran out of space in the dorm. So she got a room with a senior instead. She says they make u study like a whole lot. Lol, good thing Lahore was never an option for me. Im not sure I could have survived a military regime about studies. Lol, stray cats?? We have stray cats and dogs on our campus. They have like a complete army of their own. Im sure they are planning a coupe against humans. Anyday now they'll over throw us. My uni is disgusting, i tell u. Stray cats and dogs and flies by the number of millions. The fact that there is a hospital on campus might have made the administration a bit more careful about hygiene and all, but this is Pakistan. And we don't really care about other people here do we?

Sigh, pulling my weight. Lol, one more year. One more.

sohnii: Well..AKU is the best there is...I think a little bit of "throwing into everyone's faces" is warranted nahi?Anyways...I loved FJ...I can comfortably say it has one of the best basic science teaching...not military regime per se...but they discipline you well and I liked that.Things get messed up in final year...everything is pretty much ok except the medicine department...its just crappy...teaching and otherwise...I hate dissing my college but thats the truth. What college do you go to?

p.s: We are actually conversing here....heheh...mind if I add you to my msn?If its alright by you mail me your msn id at aya614(at)gmail(dot)com.

I not only like it, I think it's good. It's evocative but not sentimental. Also, I love boats.
